Switch users will be able to get a taste of Splatoon 2 a week early courtesy of a demo that happens on July 15, for just an handful of hours.
The Splatfest World Premiere demo runs from 3 to 7 p.m. Pacific time on July 15, and must be downloaded in advance. Players can start doing that later today (exact time not specified at the time of this writing), and also vote for whether they prefer cake or ice cream, as well as make drawings demonstrating that preference.
The demo lets players gets their hands four main weapons: the Splat Dualies, the Tentatek Splattershot, and remixed versions of the Splat Roller and Splat Charger.
Splatoon 2 releases for the Switch on July 21.
Nintendo has done the four-hour demo before, but it seems like players would rather have longer to try out the game. Then again, perhaps cramming everybody into a shorter window really gives the servers a good stress test.
